    Third Party Publication Delivery

    A major daily newspaper, utilizing Willowbend’s Manifest Xpert application has expanded their commercial delivery business from two to six publications over the last two years.  Manifest Xpert handles the entire process including downloading  automatically all starts and stops from the third party publication providers and sends transactions to over 150 distributors daily. 

    Complaints are handled in the Manifest Xpert system, which obtains the complaint information from an ftp site, and after determining the classification of the complaint, passes it to the paper’s paging system if necessary.

    Sub Zip Targeting

    A major daily newspaper utilized Willowbend’s services to evaluate and create sub zip routes for delivery by their home delivery unit and for mailing of their TMC program.  Willowbend handled the geography consisting of over 5.5 million addresses, converted them into over 700 sub zip routes and associated them with home delivery routes for the newspaper.

    TMC Mailing

    A major commercial printer and mailer is using Willowbend’s Mailing Xpert application to enter the targeted and zoned mailing of newspaper TMC programs.  Mailing Xpert handles the entry of orders from the newspapers, the processing of the CDS and subscriber address files, as well as the Do Not Mail and the VIP addresses in the mailing. 

    The output from the processing feeds the ink jet labelers and the packaging equipment making it a seamless process

    Single Copy Management

    A large free paper publisher utilizes the Bulk Delivery features in the Web based Operations Xpert interface to set up and deliver on a daily basis to over 2,000 locations each morning in a major metropolitan market   Events that allow for promotional changes in the draws automatically can be set up and the system automatically updates and forecasts draw changes. Sequenced delivery lists are printed daily and the returns are captured within the web interface.

    Remote Distributor and Distribution Center Access

    A number of daily newspapers large and small are utilizing Willowbend’s Operations Xpert browser based application to provide distributors and remote distribution center personnel with on-line access to transactions, delivery manifests and other critical delivery information.  Optimally sequenced delivery manifests are provided as well as the ability to customize the daily processing tasks.  One daily paper has nearly 300 users on the system.
